Meet the Agadis Family
If you live in or love Lancaster County, you have likely dined at one of the restaurants owned and operated by the Agadis family. Originally from New York, brothers George and Tony Agadis have been in the restaurant industry for as long as they can remember. Growing up, they learned the ins and outs of the business and the importance of high-quality food and customer service from their father, Mike, a Greek immigrant who ran a diner in Manhattan.
Bringing Family-Friendly Dining to Lancaster County
In 2000, Tony moved to Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, and soon after, his parents followed. The family purchased Silver Spring Family Restaurant, the first of many they would eventually own in the area. They transformed it by expanding the menu to include both New York-style diner favorites and local fare. Tony’s culinary expertise, George’s commitment to excellent customer service, and their parents’ attention to detail proved to be a winning formula.
With their success, the Agadis family went on to purchase and revamp other restaurants in Lancaster County, including Kountry Kitchen Family Restaurant in Manheim and the Soda Jerk in Hummelstown. Eventually, they focused exclusively on the Brickerville House and the surrounding shops, now known as Bricker Village.
